Here are a few maintenance tips: - Lubrication- To protect and maintain the moving parts of your garage door, it is important that your hinges, rollers, torsion springs, and torsion shaft bearings be lubricated at least once a year.
- Photo Sensors- In order to function properly, the photo sensors near the bottom of the track must be kept clean and damage-free. Over time, cobwebs and dust could affect the vision of the sensors. Be sure to keep them clean by using paper towels and a cleaning solution.
- On your garage door, be sure to replace broken springs, frayed cables, and more importantly, check the contact reverse system on your opener (Child Safety Feature). In addition, make sure all nuts, bolts, hinges, and track are tightened to enable the door to run smoothly.
